Just wanted to write in and warn people about early voting. I went yesterday to make a change of address and figured, well, while I’m here might as well vote. Too bad I didn’t know what to vote for. I was uninformed about most of the local candidates and knew absolutely nothing about the proposed amendments. Most of the time my policy is: if I don’t know, I don’t vote. But with the amendments, it’s pretty tricky. They rope you in with these neat, seemingly simple descriptions and you think, well, I’m smart, I can figure out what this means and go ahead and form an opinion about it. So - instead of realizing I had no idea what I was talking about - I voted. I voted yes. Then, after talking with a few better-informed friends I realized I had made a huge mistake. Yesterday I voted YES for something I am 100 percent against, only because I didn’t take the time to look into the ballot before voting. BE INFORMED ABOUT THE WHOLE BALLOT before you go to the polls, people. Learn from my mistake.
